My name is Teresa Godfrey. I am a poet, prose fiction writer, scriptwriter, artist, and a lover of the sea and long forest walks.
My writing has won awards, such as the EU New Talent Award for a screenplay adaptation of Ann Pilling’s book, Black Harvest, and my stories and poems have been published in various anthologies and literary magazines including Rhythm of Hearts, Crannog, Corncrake, and The Honest Ulsterman and broadcast on local radio.
My art work has been included in exhibitions in the Engine Room Gallery, Belfast, the Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast, the Roe Valley Arts Centre, Limavady, the Castle Museum, Enniskillen, All Hallows Gallery, Belfast and forthcoming in the Blackberry Path Art Studio, Bangor in conjunction with the Aspects Literary Festival.
I spent many years tutoring and facilitating creative writing courses and screenwriting workshops including the “Take Me To The Island” annual creative writing festival on Rathlin Island.
I am currently writing a novel and working towards a collection of poetry.
